We are one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected retirement village and aged care operators.
From humble beginnings
Summerset started in 1997 with a vision to create a retirement community that our own parents would be happy to call home. A place that puts the respect for its residents at the heart of everything we do.
It was the vision of founder, John O'Sullivan, and it's one that continues to guide us today, providing homes 'good enough for Nana.'
Residents can move in with the peace of mind that Summerset offers a continuum of care with a range of different support and living options. Today Summerset has grown 30 villages across New Zealand where over 6,000 residents call Summerset home.
While we’ve grown a lot bigger, and continue to grow, we still put everything to the ultimate test – is it good enough for Nana?
Our guiding business strategy includes:
Organic growth throughout Australia and New Zealand
Offering a continuum of care with a range of different support and living options on site
Engaging a leading Melbourne design expert and advisors that understand the local market
Leading service provider
Aim to be the employer of choice in retirement village living and aged care
In everything we do we hold a firm commitment to our community, including:
